Memphis Fashion Week 2016

This past weekend was Memphis Fashion Week (MFW).  I did not partake in all the weekend’s events but my friend Kim and I did attend the Friday fashion show.  It was at the Cadre building here in Memphis.  It was very nice & elegant.  The place was decorated well.  The runway was nice. 

I wish I had just decided to go to the Saturday event which was the fashion show for up and coming Memphis designers.  The show on Friday that I attended was a nice fashion show but only showcased sponsors for the event.  Local stores participated and showcased the latest fashion sitting on their racks.  I did not see the point in “me” seeing that show.  That is my fault for not double checking my purchase. 

Over all the show was nice but I was bored about midway through the show because at the end of each Designers runway show, it took another 20-30 minutes for the next designer to show their designs.   I guess the same models worked all the stores that were showing on the runway, so it just took them a while to get dressed and ready.  I tried to get tickets to Saturday's show but it was sold out.  At least now I know what to expect for next year.

We made the best of the show and actually had fun.  We did not stay to the end.
